Camp Liberty is a beautiful former hunting lodge on the banks of Clearwater Lake.

 
Built in 1906 and nestled in 50 acres of private woodland in the rolling hills of northwest Maine, the Camp provides the perfect rustic setting for family holidays, relaxing getaways, foliage tours and winter activities.

Camp Liberty sleeps up to 16 guests

 

  • Half House

    Sleeps 6

    Available in low season, this is a great option for smaller groups. You will have access to the ground floor which includes the Study (1 double) and the Bunk Room (4 singles) and all the amenities.

  • Full House

    Sleeps 12

    Enjoy the best on offer with full access to the entire Camp. Includes three ensuite doubles and a balcony on the first floor, plus the Study (1 double) and the Bunk Room (4 singles). Available year-round.

  • Boathouse

    Sleeps 4

    The Boathouse has two rooms and sits directly on the water, giving you better access to the lake than any other rental on Clearwater. It has two rooms (please note there is no bathroom) and is available in the summer only.

Here there be bears…

Camp Liberty sits on the west shore of Clearwater Lake, in Franklin County, north-west Maine. Close to the Canadian border, the Appalachian Trail and Sugarloaf ski resort, the second largest ski destination east of the Mississippi, this is rural Maine at its best.

Availability

  • Winter

    $460 / night

    From 1 November - 31 April, we accept reservations for Full House bookings only, with a minimum stay of 7 nights.

  • Summer

    $2750 / week

    From the start of the 4th week of June to the end of the 2nd week of September, we accept reservations of Full House 7-day bookings only, running Saturday - Saturday. Option to rent the Boathouse (sleeps 5) for an additional $458.

  • Low Season

    ~$350 / night*

    On all other dates, we accept reservations for Full House and Half House bookings (at ~$320 / night) with a 3 night minimum stay.

    *Nightly cost subject to change depending on length of stay and season.
